They worked incredibly hard during the run up to the wedding to physically make a clearing for their delightful ceremony. We are talking serious tree chopping, bracken clearing and a lot of hay bales.
The wood itself is owned by friends of theirs ( note to self, get me some of those type friends. Along with some that own a private island, a ski resort, a restaurant and a Newfoundland mountain dog )
There is something magical about woodland. Their wedding day was one of the hottest days of the year but inside under the trees, all was cool and calm. There was an abundance of delightfully whimsical touches, paper lanterns, bunting, vintage fabrics, log slice name card holders. We hung a backdrop of beautuifully tonal satin ribbons for the ceremony and jam jars of wild flowers were hung from shepherds crooks down the aisle. The two trees on either side of the ceremony were decorated with beautiful garlands.
Congratulations Uzma and Gary, wishing you all the best for the future. Thank you for letting us share your magic!
