Till Death do us Part........

Do forgive me the title but I felt it was kinda appropriate for this post. As you may know, I am seriously into the business of weddings. When a guy called Joe walked into the shop a few months ago, I didn't know what to expect. He had a pierced lip, tattoos and a baseball cap and was a proper dude.......

Moving on, I am delighted to say that this weekend, we will be doing Joe and Gemma's ROCK wedding. Joe is in a band and the whole theme for the wedding is pure rock chick. Gemma is so giggly and cool too and I am just bursting to see the venue, cake and other decorations. Their cake is going to have a skull on top with a tattoo style banner saying 'till death do us part'. I CAN"T WAIT.

My part of this event is naturally to do the flowers. Can you imagine my squeal, when Gemma said she wanted red roses and black ostrich feathers?? BLACK OSTRICH FEATHERS!!! for real! I so wanted to do that thing where American college kids hold up their forefinger, little finger and thumb and shout WOOOOOOOO!!!! ( like at Spring Break? ) but I managed to rein it in.

So here a little taster of Gemma and Jo's table decorations. I am using a black cube vase, deliciously scented and velvety Grand Prix roses, dark green foliage, asparagus fern to mimic the ostrich feathers. Step by step pics to follow.
